Natalie Ann Holborow

Natalie is an MA graduate in Creative Writing at Swansea University and is currently writer-in-residence at Dylan Thomas’ birthplace. In the day she is a learning support assistant and teaches creative writing workshops to children in a primary school where she is otherwise known as "Miss Hall-de-Barrow". She is a previous 2nd prize winner of the Terry Hetherington Award and has been shortlisted for various others including the Bridport Prize, Hippocrates Prize and the National Poetry Competition. She is looking to publish her first poetry collection and has recently been published in both The Stinging Fly and The New Welsh Review. She is currently trying to calculate how many cats she can realistically purchase with the prize money.
Her winning entry is a poem entitled “Blood Sugar”.

Eluned Gramich

Eluned was born in Haverfordwest. She studied English at Oxford and Creative Writing at UEA, before moving to live and work in Japan on a Daiwa scholarship. She has recently translated a collection of German short stories into English, and is currently working on her first novel. She lives and works in Cardiff. 

Her winning entry is a story entitled “Rossiya”

Richard Lewis

Richard is 29 years old. He was born in Swansea but has also lived in India, Africa and London. He has a degree in Creative Writing from the University of East London and was included in the 2013 Terry Hetherinton Anthology. He’s now a professional working full time in Swansea and writes when the sun goes down. He is a regular in the local open mic scene and is currently working on his first poetry collection, as well as a one man play based on his experiences with mental health issues.

His winning entry is a poem entitled “Work in Progress”.
