A most enjoyable evening, Thank you to Members of the Owain Glyndwr Society, to Gareth for filming to Eirwyn and Hilary for supporting Michael Phillips who sang from his opera about Owain Glyndwr. Paula read two delightful stories, one about Christmas, and she read Vernon Watkins poem about Mari Llwyd. Sally read us 3 of her excellent poems; 'Someone stole my wheelie bin' is really amusing.Mike Mainwaring never fails to find the most interesting of poetry. Liza brings to life everyone's frustration with 'Help Lines'., and 'English is hard'. Michael Phillips brought us an Irish tale with a chorus; 'The Hearse has got No Brakes'. He also had a song from his musical about the 1911 Railway strike at Llanelli. Thanks to Phil Knight, MC.and for his poetry, not recorded.Wishing Michael Hugh Phillips every success with; 'Glyndwr Prince of Wales
