July 2017 Poems and Pints when so many of our regular contributors were away on holidays. Those who contributed made up for missing regulars with a quality performance, as well asa past friend of the late Terry Hetherington. Dave Thomas had with him a 'Deck of Cards', and some strange stories.Paul had his guitar, not only did he sing, but provided a memorable story of a school trip. Paula was in lovely voice, her singing brought tears to my eyes. She also read from her beautifully illustrated book about a threat to our planet, Conaugh took the voice of Earth Mother.Liza read the poems from two young poets who contributed to Cheval 10 anthology, and a poem by Terry.Sally held our interest with stories from her book'Pick n Mix', as well as relating the connection with statues of 'steel in Port Talbot. It is always good to listen to Kevin's readings, he has a great choice of readings.Wes had more of his great poetry |
